What is the difference between ICT Enabled ODL Programs, Correspondence and Regular Face-to-face instructional formats?

ICT Enabled ODL Programs, Correspondence and regular Face-to-face degrees/programs from accredited Universities offer instructions in the areas where the student has enrolled for. However, in Regular face-to-face programs, you have to attend physical classes and follow a time- table. Whereas in ICT Enabled ODL Programs, you get an opportunity to view videos, take assignments, etc. anytime anywhere and from any device.
The Correspondence courses provided by an University offers similar flexibility but lack in terms of content delivery (only printed study material provided with limited contact programs) and interactivity. The ICT Enabled ODL Programs are best suited to meet the needs of flexibility, high quality, affordability and high interactivity.

When can I start with a course?

Admissions for the ICT Enabled ODL Programs can be taken online using the Online Application Form. The student needs to align herself/himself with the currently running batches of the course in the University.
However, if desired, the student can also download the offline application form, fill it up and send the same to the University (please refer to the ‘Admission’ section of the website.)

Are there any deadlines for submission of Application?

Yes. Intake happens once a year, please see the admission process. The students can apply for the course and start studying. For details, you may write to our student counselors at admin@sndtict.in

Are all the programs for Post-graduation & Under-graduation available in the ICT enabled format?

All courses mentioned on our website is available in the ICT Enabled format. Please refer to the Academics section for the complete list of courses. The University has planned to launch several more courses in the ICT Enabled format very soon. This shall depend upon the interest of the students for particular courses. You may want to submit your request, in case the course you desire does not feature in the available list of courses.

Will I earn academic credit if I take any of these courses?

Students taking ICT Enabled courses earn academic credit, and are graded in the same way as other students of the University. The University maintains parity for students irrespective of the medium of teaching.

How do I register for an online program offered by SNDT University?

Can I take these courses at my own pace or there are set timelines?
You can learn the courses anytime based on your schedule and time available to you. But term end examinations and internal assessments will have to be completed as per the deadlines shared by the University.

Do I get the printed study material also?

Yes! The University also provides the printed study material to the admitted students of the course. The cost of the printed study material is included into the course fees.

How does the examination happen?

The students shall have to submit assignments and participate in activities as directed by the University. Almost 50% of the marks shall come from these activities. The balance 50% shall be assessed by the term end test conducted at the end of each semester. The examinations for these programs are proposed to be conducted completely online.

When can I view the video lectures for the program I have enrolled into? Can I view a lecture more than once?

An enrolled student shall be able to access the lectures at his/her convenience. The students shall be able to rewind/revise a lecture as many times as desired. Some of the more difficult topics are covered by more than one professor. The students get to learn the topic from the faculty of his/her choice. You can also view the content in an offline mode (Internet connection is not required) using our mobile application on your smart phones/ tablets. The mobile application and content for your course for a specific semester/year can be provided on an SD card at an additional nominal cost. How do I participate in the class?

Teaching staff and students communicate primarily through methods like email. Most of the courses have bulletin board or chat rooms which helps fostering communication between students and teaching staff. Please login to the Learning Management System as soon as your get your ID.

Can I take these courses at my own pace or there are set time lines?

Do I need to buy a computer to view lectures?

The content can be accessed using any device that can run a browser. The students may use a computer, a laptop, a tablet or a smartphone to access the online platform. You can also view the content in an offline mode (Internet connection is not required) using our mobile application on your smart phones/ tablets. The mobile application and content for your course for a specific semester/year can be provided on an SD card at an additional nominal cost. How do I get my student ID and password?

You will receive your ID and password once you have completed the formalities of the admission. The Centre of ICT enabled program is serviced by a dedicated Student Care Helpdesk. For any required support,you may also write in to admin@sndtict.in
